Music
I started piano practical and theory studies for piano age 5years old to 12 years old under the Trinity College of Music syllabus. I then continued my music studies on the Music Performance Course at Perth College,Scotland in 2003 at HNC level. I recorded my first original music composition for piano in 2004 in Perth. I started teaching piano with my move to Cornwall in 2014 for children and adults. Further recording took place at Audio4 Recording studio in Newquay Cornwall then at Cube Recording studio near Truro in Cornwall.I hope to record more of my music and collaborate with other musicians in the near future.
Art
I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Constructed Textiles specialising in tapestry weave and photography at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art Dundee Scotland in 1997. Having specialised in teaching art to special needs adults before art college I accepted the offer of work as a lecturer in art for Special Needs adults the year I graduated. More recently I ran a Special Needs adults art group called re.create for 5 years in Perth This was funded by lottery funding. In addition I have run many art workshops for adults and children not dealing with Special Needs. I have exhibited regularly over the years in the UK and while at art college exhibited in London, Finland and North Uist. In 1990 I had a tapestry weave accepted for an exhibition titled Small Expressions in San Jose in the USA. In 2000 I took part in and created work for a European Textile Symposium in Erfurt Germany. Periodically I have created woven textiles to commission, including but not limited to wall hangings,and cushions. I continue to be very happy to work to commission.
Reiki
I was introduced to this beautiful life giving energy in 2004 in Perth Scotland by Reiki Master Morag Hislop. The healing this brought inspired me to become a Reiki healing practitioner. I received the three Reiki healing attunements over a period of six years from Morag receiving the third Master Degree from her just before my move to Cornwall in 2014. The level two attunement had enabled me to practice this soul soothing therapy at Meridian Clinic in Perth Scotland. Reiki is also able to be given through distant healing.
